Back In The Day - Masterclass

Many moons ago, a unique 3 way friendship was born and over the last 35+ years, these guys are still inextricably linked to Stoke's rave scene and their friendship is still as strong to this day...

Daz Willot as many of you know was a dance music pioneer back in the mid 80s here in Stoke on Trent and cut his teeth playing hip hop & electro to the new breed of clubbers of Stoke on Trent and other nearby cities in the midlands. Pete Bromley then met Daz through their shared thirst for buying records and the explosion on club culture here in Stoke on Trent, particularly Longton, sharing residency at Stokes first regular successful rave night, Introspective…

Along came Lee who became friends with Daz and eventually his MC, and their time at both Shelley’s Laserdome and Entropy amongst many other guest appearances solidified their status with Daz’s DJing exploits and Lee’s as an MC/recording artist, as Stoke’s resident go-to rave duo. 

During this time, Pete cemented himself as Stokes premier house DJ with his residency at The Freetown which lead to his longstanding Golden Residency as the flames flickered at the end of the Longton Rave explosion…

Towards the end of the millennium, Lee & Pete teamed up and have been working together ever since but their special relationship with Daz has continued as the unique bond of these 3 friends has had a sizeable impact on Stokes club scene over the last 35 years and this very special event sees the celebration of the music from that golden period of dance music, celebrating that unique period of Longton in its heyday and the music, in particular that of Shelley’s Laserdome & Introspective…

None of us know how many opportunities we’ll have to celebrate these special memories, so we hope to see as many of you who share our love for this special musical period here in Stoke on Trent.
