The Stockport Music Story is proud to present a very special launch event for the long-awaited publication 'Strawberry Studios Forever' telling the previously untold story of Strawberry, from the unique point of view of Strawberry Recording Studios' founder Peter Tattersall with Peter Wadsworth, the curator of the Strawberry Studios archive.
We are delighted to be able to give fans of the Manchester music scene, the very rare opportunity to spend time inside the recording area and control room of the former studios where many iconic songs by 10cc, Joy Division, New Order, The Smiths and The Stone Roses were recorded.
Your ticket price includes a copy of 'Strawberry Studios Forever' - Strawberry Studios, 10cc & The Birth of Manchester Music by Peter Tattersall with Peter Wadsworth and foreword by 10cc. The RRP of the book is £15 and published by Empire Publications, Manchester.
The launch will comprise of a talk between Peter Tattersall and Peter Wadsworth about the book and the chance to listen to some of Peter's favourite songs in the room they were originally recorded in. There's also the opportunity to experience the space that was the original control room and live recording area at Strawberry and to ask questions about Peter's extraordinary life working with international artists such as 10cc, Neil Sedaka and Paul McCartney.
There will also be complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits provided for visitors.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity not to be missed. Meet outside Strawberry Studios at 3 Waterloo Road, Stockport SK1 3BD. Tickets are limited due to capacity within the building.
