We're back at the stunning Hitchin Priory Hotel on Saturday 1st November for another unforgettable night of fireworks and entertainment!

Not as advertised in the slightest. Worst kids fireworks display ever - lasted less than 5 minutes. No fire breathers as advertised and only one stilt walker.

Review of Hitchin Fireworks 2025

Terrible!! Never going back! 
This event was completely misadvertised. The kids show lasted only 3 minutes (no exaggeration) when it was advertised as being the same length as the "adults" display. There was ONE stilt walker that I saw. No fire breathers or performances. Other than that,  it was a bunch of overpriced food trucks with crazy queues and nothing else to do. The "fun fair" aspect was two or three kiddy rides, nothing there for adults to get invloved in. Total waste of time.

The event was a complete rip off, £10 pp and we got 3 mins of fireworks at the kids display. he events company are blocking people who are complaining and thier email address doesn't exist anymore. Skiddle should refuse to sell tick*ts to any of their events.

Dead atmosphere. 2 hours between firework displays with no commentators in between with not a lot to do during that time. Only stand in a queue for food or drink. The queues for each food stand were about an hour each and everything was £15! Average fireworks, all set off randomly and some were the wrong way around and if you stood at the front the fall out was hitting everyone on the head

The kids fireworks show lasted all of about 3 minutes. There were no live performers. Rides for kids were £4 each and it cost me £8.50 for 3 marshmallows.

All in all a massive rip off. There are other fireworks displays that are cheaper and about 1000 times better in the area.

Fireworks were amazing however not enough food outlets massive queues for everything. No facility to get just a hot drink.
no entertainment for adults and way to long a gap between  2 displays. Never been before so will learn to manage timings better but will come again. Plenty of room to improve for next year

The time between the two sets of fireworks was too long with nowhere to sit so we only stayed for the first ones which were very short and had no big fireworks. You also had to pay for rides on top of the entry tick*t.

As this was a fireworks display, I've assumed that 'music' is the closest category for the main focus of the event. I was really disappointed by the display. It was very short, partly hidden by the trees, and most of it could have been replicated by a multi-shot firework box from a supermark*t. We were there for the early show and it was clearly tacked-on just to sell tick*ts to families that couldn't stay out late enough for the second one (unless that one was also this bad, in which case everyone has been ripped off).  It's not like the 'fun fair' made up for this either - a couple of tiny rides that cost extra is hardly added value. Considering we had to buy general entrance tick*ts just to see a second-rate afterthought of a show, this felt pretty exploitative. If you're going to offer a lower standard, match it with a lower price. Absolutely going somewhere else next year.

Poor  event. There was not music or entertainment as advertised. The 'fun fair' rides consisted of two very small toddler rides. The fireworks were a joke, lasted 4 minuets and were very poor. Prices for food were ridiculous. Lots of unhappy people after the event.

When I booked the tick*ts it said live music, I am sure it was, but there was no live music. We loved loved the fire work display, it went on for 15 minutes and it was beautiful. We are definitely coming back next year.
