About

Southampton Stand-Up Comedy an unbelievable evening at The Attic with not 1 but 5 headline comedians

Tickets: Early bird is £12 in advance online or £15 on the door if still available.

Southampton Stand-Up Comedy at it's best with not 1 but 5 of the UK's comedy giants; Tony Ward, Sergi Polo, Raj Poojara, Riggs & Geet Chawla

Tony Law stand up comedian in Southampton

Fresh from a critically acclaimed run at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, neanderthal Canadian-Trinidadian Norn Iron loon Law, is taking his half-baked thoughts on the last couple of years (with a little time travel to boot) on tour. It might not always make sense but it's always funny.

Farmboy's blue-collar surreal absurdity in his own very unique style. For those with a different take or taste in comedy. Wild, utterly absurd and magnetic.

'Takes post-modern stand-up to a dangerously funny new level'
The Guardian
'The King of post-modern nonsense'
TheTelegraph

Tony Law is a comedic performer who hails from Lacombe, Alberta in Canada. He has been living in London, UK since he was 19 years old.

His signature style includes improvisational routines that focus on absurd and surreal topics and concepts. His performances often involve whimsical stories or situations that he comes up with spontaneously.

Sergi Polo at Southampton's Stand-Up Comedy Club near me

"He's brilliant. He's perfect. Every joke is crafted brilliantly! We could listen to him all night" Ant & Dec

Raj Poojara at Southampton's Stand-Up Comedy Club near me

If you were to look at Raj, you’d think what most people think… where the hell is he from? Once you get to know him (and his love for saving money wherever possible), you can easily establish that he’s Indian.

Born & bred in London, Raj is the only son and youngest child. His parents had two children, you know, of which one didn’t work out…

They were proud when their only son passed his A-levels and went on to study Economics at University. They were even more proud when he graduated and became a Private Banker.

So, the obvious next step was to become a comedian…

Growing up watching some of the greats and being the “funny guy”, a.k.a “the one with the great personality”, Raj decided to take the leap of faith into the world of comedy!

His first performance at the London’s Backyard Comedy club went so well that his second gig was in front of a sold-out theatre as the opening act.

After the feeling he got coming off that stage, he knew this was the path he wanted to follow, fighting for as much stage time as possible while always working on new material.

Geet Chawla at Southampton's premier Stand-Up Comedy Club

Dark, deadpan and bringing out thoughts from the shadiest caverns of her mind, Geet makes no effort to downplay any of the crass embellishments of her life so far. A regular on the U.K. scene, she has also graced crowds in Europe and the US. She doesn’t come with a trigger warning so strap in.

Geet won the Comedy Store’s brutal gong show, King Gong, in January 2023.

“Worked with Geet recently for the first time and was blown away. The hit rate and number of punchlines was off the scale. An excellent new act who I’m sure I’ll be seeing pop up at a lot more gigs in the near future.’ - Paul McCaffrey

“Boundless energy and joyful storytelling” - Russell Kane

“Flibbertigibbet” - Chortle
“an up and coming comic with a talent for observational comedy. Able to spin the most ordinary experience into a well-crafted story, his farcical analysis of social norms and societal issues is sure to get the crowd laughing” – The Warren

“An Eccentric and Brilliant Act...the material is very well written; the delivery is memorable and enjoyable, and the call backs are great” – The Stand

Your Host: Geordie Geoff

Geordie Geoff, born and raised in the Northeast, is excited to bring his unique style of comedy to The Attic. With a reputation as a nice guy, he quickly puts his audience at ease through a laid-back and interactive approach to stand-up. No two performances are the same: Geoff leaves people yearning for more with his famous crowd work, always keeping the audience at the centre of his set.

Known for his perceptive descriptions, laser dot humour, and "say it like it is" attitude, Geoff is brutally funny. The front row becomes his playground, and its occupants become his closest friends.

After countless nights on the road, gigging in pubs and clubs across the country, Geoff's show, 'Catching The Custard,' promises to be "an absolute banging" event in Southampton. Supported by a distinguished line-up, the audience can expect a hilarious experience with custard flying in their direction.

Geoff started his comedy journey at the Edinburgh Fringe and has recently provided support for renowned comedians like Michael Hackett, Steve Hughes, and Martin Westgate. Additionally, he is an established MC, having hosted Mark Simmons, Ben Norris, Dinesh Ranganathan, and Jack Skipper.
