Reviews of Kings Head Inn in Meifod
Kings Head Inn venue information
The atmosphere is just how you imagine a rural pub to be, relaxed and unhurried, warm and inviting. Relaxing in front of the open fire in the bar in winter or sitting outside in the sun in summer, you can enjoy a bite to eat from a wide ranging menu. There is a pool table, play area for kids, as well as a football pitch-for the more energetic!
The Kings Head menu consists of local and homemade food and drink, wherever possible we use local or welsh supplies, from the local cheeses, to the well stocked bar with local ales and welsh liqueurs and whiskeys. We also use produce grown from our own vegetable garden, providing us with the freshest and highest quality produce. From this garden we also produce our own homemade preserves and chutneys. All our sweets are homemade, and we have even begun producing our own homemade ice cream- which has proved a huge hit with young and old! We believe in producing quality food at affordable prices, which is reflected in our seasonable menu. Our Popular traditional homemade Sunday Lunch is a must!
Five comfortable en suite double bedrooms are available for the travellers who want to put their feet up. The five en suite bedrooms are all laid out comfortably with double beds, the décor intelligently merging with the period of the building. Each room has remote T.V, hairdryer and beverage tray.
Situated in the beautiful Vyrnwy valley, all types of activities are available locally including quad-biking, horse riding, fishing, golfing, cycling etc. The Glyndwrs way passes through the village, as well as many other walks in and around the village which can be explored.
