About

Dryadic

Bristol and Gloucestershire’s rising alt-folk trio Dryadic weave an infectious blend of rootsy folk and melodic pop, driven by lush strings, keys, and soaring vocal harmonies. Their sound is rich with vibrant fiddle lines and a pop sensibility that makes every track stick. From the heartfelt, empowering anthem 'Rainbow Family'—a celebration of chosen family, queer community, and misfit resilience (instantly added to the BBC Introducing West and Orbit playlists and earning rave reviews)—to their latest single 'Good To Be Alive', Dryadic are known for getting rooms on their feet, singing and dancing wherever they go.

Commanding the stage with gutsy singalong hooks, layered harmonies, and an undeniable raw energy, Dryadic’s live shows are a force: part protest, part celebration. Their rousing rhythms, candid humour, and sharp, politically charged lyrics move effortlessly from stomping feminist anthems and travelling folk tales to dreamy ballads, with a five-string fiddle and upright bass often whirling right alongside the crowd.

Having captivated audiences at stages and festivals across the UK—from Glastonbury’s Avalon Stage and Brighton Pride to Hackney Empire and Stroud’s Subscription Rooms—Dryadic have shared bills with folk powerhouses like Grace Petrie, O’Hooley & Tidow, and Heather Peace. With a magnetic presence and a deep sense of purpose, they create inclusive spaces where music and community meet.

‘Mansplain’ is an unapologetically queer anthem drenched in luscious fiddle hooks and lavish harmonies' - Loud Women

Oranjabanj
