About

DJs:
Ronnie Brown - 60s Mod (Clouds Preston, C'est la Vie Blackburn, Twisted Wheel, Blackpool Mecca)
Dave Hamer - 70s Soulboy (Torch Tunstall, Blackpool Mecca)

100% vinyl all afternoon: R&B, 60s Soul, Motown, Mod, Ska, Bluebeat and Northern Soul.
Inspired by the late-50s/early-60s underground club scene that ran from Soho to the Twisted Wheel and beyond.

Named after Slim Harpo's 1966 track, Shake Yer Hips has been running since pre-lockdown across Lancashire, recreating the sound and spirit of legendary clubs with music from labels like Stax, Atlantic and Motown - all in one afternoon.

We're really looking forward to welcoming you to Chew's Yard! The event will take place in our dedicated event space. Next door, you'll find our food and drink hall, featuring five fantastic traders and plenty of seating. We also have a leafy walled garden with additional seating if you'd like to relax outdoors.

We're expecting the event to be busy, and seating within the event space itself will be limited as we're keen to keep plenty of room for the dancefloor.

Ample seating is available in the food and drinks hall and in the beautiful leafy walled garden. Please note that seating inside the event space is limited to allow plenty of room for the dancefloor. Your ticket does not guarantee a seat in the events space.
