About

Event is for age 14+. Under 18's must be accompanied by a parent.

With influences of 60s music and 90s shoegaze, The Other Woman use honest lyricism, bass-driven riffs and carefully crafted drums to build their unique sound.

The band is made up of:
Ev Wilkinson on Vocals and Guitar
Zane Kennington on Bass
Mollie Atkin on Drums

Support comes from The Kabins and Playwriter:
South West indie rockers The Kabins are a five-piece built on big hooks and guitar-driven momentum. Fronted by Todd Gilronan's smooth vocals and backed by dual guitars, driving bass and relentless drums, their sound pulls from 90s Britpop with a modern indie intensity. Recent releases like 'Whisper' and 'Penelope' highlight the strength of their songwriting and translate even better in front of a live crowd, as a sold-out Exeter Phoenix were lucky enough to experience this Winter!

Playwriter:

Plymouth indie dream-pop four-piece Playwriter move on from their ambient music backgrounds and embrace the warmth and immediacy of a live band built around human connection, humour and grown-up honesty.

"Me and Tom were making ambient music on our laptops, remotely," says lead singer Leo Cunningham. "Then one day I picked my Fender Mustang off the wall and realised how much I missed getting together with other players and doing it that way. Tom felt the same, so we started a band."

That move from solitary sound-design to shared songcraft shapes the Everyday EP at every level. Written firmly from a 30‑something vantage point, its songs sparkle with wit and a zen attitude to life. They examine adult friendship and that nagging feeling that you are older and supposedly wiser, but still don't know what it all means - all expressed through the irresistible prism of dreamy retro indie pop.
