Welcome to Knightor – "Ro an Mor Hag an Crgh Tyr" or in english "from the sea and the wrinkled land" Wine is about place, and ours are from the south coast of Cornwall. The name Knightor evolved from "Crgh Tyr", meaning wrinkled land. With vineyards in the Roseland and Whitsand Bay, at our winery in St Austell Bay we make premium quality still and sparkling wines. The pretty setting is also very popular for weddings and functions. Wine is also about food and ours pair well with the great local produce from the land and the sea around Cornwall. We grow our own herbs and buy our produce from the best farmers and fishermen. For our chef Jah Hemming its all about "seasonality, local freshness and authenticity, combined with a passion for food!" In season, locally sourced ingredients are imaginatively combined with herbs from the garden to make classic and modern dishes. Foraged edible flowers and delicate flavours complement richer tastes and make great dishes like our Sunday roasts even more interesting and flavoursome. Visit us for tastings, wine sales, charcuterie/cheese platters, lunch, cream teas or to just enjoy a coffee or chilled glass of wine in our sunny courtyard.
