Children’s charity CHICKS would like to invite people to join them in their ‘Making Memories Challenge and Family Fun Day’ at Cardinham Woods on Sunday 9th September. The event, which starts at 11am and finishes at 4pm, is sponsored by Specsavers of Bodmin and is set to be fantastic day out for all the family. With a sponsored cycle ride, run or walk followed by games, activities, entertainment, BBQ, Tug of War, Duck Race and bouncy castle PLUS an official opening by Olympic Rower Helen Glover, there is lots of fun for the whole family. Children (and adults!) are invited to bring along their favourite bear for the Teddy Bear Picnic and Treasure Hunt. Entertainment during the afternoon includes a fun Zumba class plus Zumba and Hip Hop Workshops by Becci Gowers of Dance Confidence Cornwall. There will also be Circus Skills Workshops by Mr Bamboozle! All proceeds from the day will go to children’s charity CHICKS which provides free respite breaks for disadvantaged children at their retreats in Brentor and Tywardreath.
