About

Join us for a heartwarming night of storytelling, celebration and good company as we bring together two of Scotland’s best-loved voices - Coinneach MacLeod, the Hebridean Baker and Peter MacQueen - for a special evening to launch Peter’s brand-new book, Tails of Scotland: The Story of Scottish Dogs and to hear the stories, recipes and legends from Coinneach’s home islands.
In Tails of Scotland, dog-loving Scotsman Peter MacQueen embarks on an extraordinary journey through the hills, glens and islands of Scotland, meeting fourteen of the country’s most iconic breeds. From the noble Scottish Deerhound to the mischievous Westie, Peter uncovers the history, character and quirks of each breed – and the deep bond they share with the people of Scotland. Alongside beautiful photography and practical tips, Tails of Scotland is a celebration of heritage, heart, and our four-legged companions.
Coinneach has captivated readers and audiences around the world with his much-loved Hebridean Baker cookbooks, heartwarming tales of island life, and traditional Scottish recipes. Born and raised on the Isle of Lewis, he’s become Scotland’s best-selling cookbook author, sharing the flavours and folklore of the Hebrides through four chart-topping books, a hit podcast, and now his own BBC TV series.
Together, Peter and Coinneach will take you on a joyful journey across Scotland – with dogs at their heels and recipes in their hearts. Expect laughter, nostalgia, a few Hebridean surprises... and maybe even an song or two!
