Fèis Ìle Nature Walk One: Easy

Walk from Port Ellen to Carraig Fhada and the Singing Sands.

Distance/Time approx 5 miles/3 hours

Level: Easy. Paved surfaces, beach and established tracks.

Starting at the Ramsay Hall Car Park. A great chance to learn about the history of Port Ellen, Islay in general, and how it relates back to the whisky industry. Enjoy a slow paced walk to visit the iconic Carraig Fhada lighthouse(Scotland's only square lighthouse) and immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of the Singing Sands Beach. A perfect start to your week.

Learn a wee bit about the local history and the diverse habitats and species that shape the home of the Fèis.

It is advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes and come prepared for the odd rain shower.
