First steps towards Portintruan Distillery

Step inside the raw, industrial muddy site of Portintruan Distillery before it opens to the public. This is not a launch - it's a confident first look at the distillery as it takes shape, set within the warehouse. No access yet to the distillery, but a very first chance to get on site and up close to the team.

The experience unfolds across three themed "collections" - Foundations, Framework and Future- where our guests will be taken through the inspiration behind the project, the nuts -and-bolts of its construction, and the vision for what Portintruain will become. Sukhinder, owner of Elixir, takes centre stage, sharing his personal vision for the distillery and the drams that inspired him to choose Islay. The distillery team and key partners offer stories from planning and construction, while guests are given a glimpse of what's to come inside Portintruain - all accompanied by tastings of iconic Islay whiskies and selections from the Elixir portfolio - 6 in total.

Hard hats on, with cocktails and canapes to begin, the event fully immerses you in the intricacies of our build, from story telling to audio and visuals from the distillery itself.
