About

Twenty years ago, Stuart Foster started a music festival in memory of his sister Jo. What began as a heartfelt tribute to Witney's local music scene has grown into one of Oxfordshire's most loved community events - and this year, we're celebrating two decades of music, memories and community at The Leys Recreation Ground.

The 2026 lineup is our strongest ever. Friday night is headlined by New York rap-rock legends Fun Lovin' Criminals, best known for "Scooby Snacks" and still touring worldwide with a new album in 2025, alongside 11-piece reggae/hip-hop collective Dub Catalyst, award-winning 60s tribute act The Zoots, Gina Larner, and Jewelia.

Saturday brings Manchester's cosmic ravers HENGE, whose wild, costumed live shows have made them festival favourites at Glastonbury, Bluedot and Shambala, plus Sandi Thom (UK No.1 with "I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker"), rising BRIT School soul artist Ava Joe, the Glastonbury and Boomtown sensation The Beatles Dub Club with The Meyer Dancers, glam-rock revivalist Bobbie Dazzle (Kerrang!, Rise Above Records), Sons of the Seventies (five UK tours supporting Slade), Sheffield blues-rockers Lightning Threads, and proud local talent including West Oxfordshire soul collective Lucille & the Lightning Soul Train, Witney's own Leader, FAWLERS, Bear Trap, and Paige and the Red Shift from the Cotswolds.

And that's just the main stage. The dance stage lineup drops soon - bringing you the best of local and touring DJ talent with a serious lineup of house, drum and bass, garage, UK bass, rave, jungle, disco, techno and everything in between.

Beyond the music, the festival site includes funfair, food village, trader market, VIP area with its own bar, a free inclusive zone, and bars run by Barworx - whose stunning setups will transform the look and feel of the site this year. Hook Norton Brewery are sponsoring the festival and providing their award-winning ales.

Under-14s go free with a paying adult, making WMF one of the most accessible family festivals in the region. Early bird tickets are limited so catch them while you can!

Friday 12th June: Gates open 5pm, music until 11pm
Saturday 13th June: Gates open 10am, music until 11pm

Delivered in partnership with Witney Town Council. All surplus funds support the 2027 festival - this is a community event, run for the community.

See you on The Leys. Let's make the 20th one to remember.
