Vivaldi and the Violin

Vivaldi is most famous for his collection of violin concertos entitled "The Four Seasons", which is one of the most loved and performed works in the world. However, these concertos are only four of the collection of 230 concertos for the violin, most of which were composed during his time working as Maestro of Music at the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice. This evening you will hear a selection of these concertos, plus a few by some of his contemporaries, including the famous "Devil's Trill" Sonata by Giuseppe Tartini.

It is a celebration of the violin and all things Italian. Perfect for a summer's evening.

The Synchronicity Chamber Collective brings together highly acclaimed, world class musicians under the artistic direction of violinist Hannah Perowne. As individuals and members of chamber ensembles and orchestras they have performed in some of the world's most prestigious venues, including The Royal Albert Hall, London, Carnegie Hall, New York, the Philharmonie, Berlin and the Musikverein, Vienna.
