About

Ben Cipolla is a singer and guitarist whose music drifts between soulful intimacy and rhythmic invention. Like Nick Drake, he brings a quiet intensity and melodic subtlety to his playing, while echoing John Martyn’s adventurous acoustic textures and Jack Johnson’s easygoing warmth and melodic storytelling. His performances are warm, open and inventive—transforming familiar songs into something unexpected and original work into something timeless.

Cipolla’s repertoire reflects his versatility: from jazz standards and bossa nova classics to reimagined pop favourites and contemporary hits. He keeps a natural blend of genres at the heart of his music, weaving jazz, soul, folk and acoustic pop into a sound that feels fresh yet familiar.

Born in Wiltshire and now based in Bristol, Cipolla draws inspiration from his Sicilian heritage, explored in his acclaimed album Casa Mia. His third album, due in 2026, promises to further exp

and his signature fusion of influences with sincerity and style.

With performances at the BBC Swing Jazz Prom at the Royal Albert Hall, WOMAD, Manchester Jazz Festival and Shambala, alongside national airplay on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and BBC Introducing, Cipolla continues to carve his own path with authenticity, warmth and understated brilliance.
