The Priory Tavern

The Priory Tavern has stood at this site since at least 1927, and most likely before that. Over the years it has always served as a community mainstay. Since re-opening in 2007, The owners Lucile & Merlin have endeavoured to stay true to the ideal of a friendly neighbourhood pub serving quality food and drink. Their policy of NO SCREENS & NO MACHINES mean that people have more opportunity to socialise in a friendly house that provides free WI-FI, board games, darts and the daily papers. Whether you're looking to take some me time or enjoy the company of friends we'd like to think there's a place for everybody. The bar has been updated to offer a fantastic array of spirits and cocktails as well as regular drinks and we have won awards for the quality of our Cask Ales. Likewise in the kitchen, everything is made by hand and we added a real wood smoking oven imported from the U.S.A. to give our meat that authentic barbeque flavour found only in America. We have daily deals, happy hours, bi-weekly quizzes and regular live music fixtures to compliment the day to day.
