VIVEKA

From the ashes of The Diesel Trees guitarist and principal songwriter Lee Ambler has retained drummer Adrian Wright and recruited an old friend on bass - Mark Hughes. Now a 3-piece outfit under the Viveka moniker, the sound is more stripped back - with heavier guitars, chunky bass and powerful drumming. Aiming for a punk/power pop sound with banging choruses, chuck berry style guitar solo's and vocal harmonies - Viveka are ready to smash the system in 2024.

INDIA ARKIN

https://youtu.be/CEgzMa5O22k

An indie singer-song-writer based in Newcastle. Having always had artistic drive at the forefront, India originally moved to the city to study Fine Art, and began recording music for her solo project through the lockdowns in 2020. Launching her debut single “Dashboard Dancing” in August of 2021; she quickly caught her attention of the BBC, finding a heavy rotation on BBC Introducing North East and BBC Introducing Tees. Her debut EP “No Innocent Bystander” later featuring on Tom Robinsons Radio 6 Mixtape, and earning her a residency at The Sage Gateshead. In 2022 India was the first artist to sign on to HMV’s new record label , 1921 Records, releasing her album “Home Truths”.

India continues to tow the line between her music and fine art creative practice further as she develops herself a musician: defined by her idiosyncratic soundscapes and confessional lyricism.
