Review of Electech Innovation Cluster Annual Conference 2025

Nice venue in the heart of Lancaster just round the corner from the castle.  The event was well attended and had a good team of people managing the events throughout the day.  In terms of venue size, this was probably on the limit for the number of people who attended.  Listened to some really good presenters throughout the day.  In terms of improving this event for next time, I would suggest providing a little more space in the conference room as we were tightly packed in.  Also provide better quality seating as the chairs were very uncomfortable in my opinion.  Other than that a great event.  For anyone worried about parking in Lancaster, I would recommend using the park and ride.  This was the first time I had used this which was much cheaper than city centre car parks.

The event was excellent let down by the venue which was too small for this gathering, uncomfortable chairs, very warm room that needed windows opening allowing traffic noise to filter up. Despite the tasty lunch, refreshments throughout were slow to appear. We ran out of coffee several times, not enough water, glasses or cups were available, food set up was poor.  Room too small.

I have been a massive 'Hacienda' fan from back in day - Old Skool tunes.  So a 'Conversation with Graeme Park', sounded like a dream.  I wasn't disappointed.  Chris introduced/started things really well, the flow of the conversation was amazing, he got everyone involved and I felt like I was right back there from all that time ago. 

So I would like to say a massive 'Thank you' to Chris, Graeme and everyone else that got involved with the set up, videos, lights and the conversation. :)
