<p>Octoberfest is a beer, music, food and arts festival, held annually in the picturesque Langdale Valley in the Lake District, Cumbria in the North West of England. The Festival is a three day independent event with a local community ethos showcasing world class and regional beer, music, food and liquor. The event will also celebrate the lakes and outdoors, with an array of health and wellbeing workshops being hosted by professional instructors.</p>

A lovely friendly festival, who wouldn't want to enjoy The Lakes listening to good music, drinking amazing beers and hiking in the Langdales area through the day. Can't wait till next year.

Review of Octoberfest

Unfortunately didn't get to go to the event due to the weather warnings. I can understand not offering a full refund as the event was still able to run partially and they've offered free tick*ts to next year but knowing if I'll be available in 12 months time is not possible and would have been appreciated to be offered a partial refund seeing as the event was not as planned and many people didn't manage to travel due to the weather.

Awesome musical curation with a good variety of genres-breaks,jungle,dub,jazz,ska and everything in between. From OG's like Mr Scruff, Krafty Kuts, Freestylers,Mungos Hifi to new and up and coming acts like Riot Jazz and Rookie Numbers  . All the right vibes! Great crowd, friendly security. The show went on despite quite a severe storm, was very grateful to see all these epic acts in the stunning setting which is Langdale!

Was really looking forward to hearing some bands but there wernt any. The venue was alright. The atmosphere was horrendous. We witnessed other guests defecating in a locals driveway. It was disgusting. And someone brought an alsation that was not kept on a lead who was barking at everyone that walked past. The amount of drugs being taken was horrendous. To not be offered a refund given the weather was atrocious, as I really have no desire to go again

Despite very poor weather conditions which curtailed a lot of the entertainment and required dismantling of marquees, the staff remained professional, friendly and courteous at all times. Iâll definitely go again next year. 

Oktoberfest was a fantastic experience. Very well organised, with some amazing bands and singers which catered for all audiences, combined with a huge selection of Lake District ales from local breweries. I hope it will be in the diary for next year.
