Review of Born This Way- in aid of Breakout Youth

A real feel good event, brilliant atmosphere, a lot of enthusiasm and good spirits in the presentation of that act, and felt really inclusive. Small venue made it feel more as though the audience were a part of the show, rather than silent on-lookers. The drinks were good and reasonably priced, and the performers put their heart and soul into their acts. We all loved the event, and would completely recommend anyone to go along.

Everything about the event was great except, unfortunately, the show itself. We left in the interval as out of six acts in the first half, four were "burlesque". My understanding of burlesque is that it is titillating and teasing rather than a hurried semi strip culminating in the swinging of tasselled breasts..... Not that entertaining the first time and definitely not by the fourth example.
The singer and comedian were very good but, I feel, badly let down by the other acts. Hopefully, there was more variety in the second half but we did not wait to find out.

Absolutely brilliant night!! Such good fun, laughs and great music and all to raise. Awareness and money for a great cause.
