Lets Trance with Steven Flynn

Lets Trance is back for 2026 and we kick off our year of events with a banger! We are delighted to welcome local legend DJ/Producer Steven Flynn to the Lets Trance Stage!

Steven started DJing back in 1995/96, with hard trance as his first real love. Mark EG and M-Zone were huge inspirations, and the ’90s trance era will always be his favourite.

Artists like John 00 Fleming, Jam & Spoon, Emmanuel Top, and Timo Maas shaped Steven's sound, and his all-time favourite tracks are BBE – Seven Days & One Week. When the more euphoric side of trance took over, Steven slowly fell out of love with the genre. Over time, his focus shifted into production, mainly progressive house—music driven by melody, emotion, chord progressions, and atmosphere. A lot of Steven's recent work now sits in what’s becoming known as deep trance.

A real “trance bite me” full-circle moment came when he remixed Miss Shiva’s trance classic Dreams, with Jam El Mar handling the mastering. That one meant a lot. Now, Steven Flynn is back behind the decks, playing at Let’s Trance, bringing the journey full circle once again.

We can't wait to see Steven's vast knowledge and experience come to Upstairs under the Lets Trance Banner :)

Joining Steven on the night we are delighted to welcome another debut to the Lets Trance events, Richard Lewis :)

Relatively new to the DJ scene, Richard is from the Isle Of Skye and started DJing after attending some local nights in bars. From that point promoters began to give him a chance at their events. Richard then went onto playing some nights and festivals in Inverness. Originally focussing on house and tech house, he is now playing trance and hard techno to see where that takes him.

We are looking forward to welcoming Richard to this event so he can progress further in his journey :)

And as always we have our Lets Trance Residents at the ready, this time it is a debut B2B in Upstairs. Conor Ferguson and James Thomson will go back to back to close out the event, the last time they went B2B was 2020!!!
