Watermark Gallery

An exhibition of original work published in children's books by well known illustrator and author, Jane Ray. Jane has illustrated over 60 children's books and worked with some of the biggest named authors such as Jeanette Winterson, Carol Ann Duffy and former children's laureate, Michael Rosen. She is also the author and illustrator of her own books in a career spanning several decades. The exhibition will run from Sept 4th-30th and on 4th/5th there will be a chance to meet Jane – also a nominee for the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Awards - who is travelling from London to join us on the 4-5th September. Our event will feature many original works and limited edition prints from the range of books Jane Ray has created throughout her career, as well as exhibits including her very first picture book created at the age of just five. Works of art and books will be available to buy on the Watermark Gallery website and at the gallery, from Friday 4th Sept. Although we are not able to host any preview events for our exhibitions at the current time, we look forward to welcoming you to the gallery, with or without children and grandchildren!
