About
‘Rhythm and Revolution’ is a bimonthly live music and DJ gig series, showcasing local and upcoming talents alongside international artists covering Jazz and improvisational music, to global beats.
For June 2026 gig, ‘Rhythm and Revolution’ proudly presents Makongo, a Glasgow southside-based & piece alternative Hip-hop music group made up of local and migrant artists that recently released their debut album with the title ‘PASSPORT’, as unapologetically revolutionary and political response to the rising divisive rhetoric in contemporary British society.
Alongside Makongo, we are so excited to have Fingertraps ; an electrifying Edinburgh-based quartet blending Neo-Soul, Brazilian grooves, Modern Jazz and Latin flavours with touches of R&B and D&B.
On top of this, the Rhythm & Revolution’s resident DJ, Mark Quinn from Greenhouse Records will be spinning his selection of records for the night.
