Withnail and I - Murray Close. Meet the Photographer

Murray Close began his career working with Stanley Kubrick on The Shining. He has since gone on to work on countless Hollywood blockbusters, collaborating with some of the industry’s biggest names including Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves and Clint Eastwood.

One of his earlier films was the cult classic Withnail and I — a low-budget production that captured the imagination of generations and is consistently ranked by critics as one of the greatest British comedies ever made.

Murray will be at the gallery from 1–3pm, signing photographs from Withnail and I as well as images from other works across his illustrious career.
