Review of Country Club - Indoor Country Music Festival -  Dundee

Main issue was with the temperature. Initially all was good until the air con was switched on and the place was freezing. As soon as you sat down you ciould feel the cold air. Everyone around us went to get their jackets/overcoats, not ideal.

This was an ok event, the DJs were engaging and had dancers teaching line dancing and live singers. There was no country decor except for five American flags draped around the venue. Don't think I'll be back.

Event venue was ok, bars had 2 choices of beer, corona or peroni, very steep prices at £5 a bottle, £6 for a single vodka and £3 for a tin of irnbru, all in plastic cups. Far to many people drunk after 1 hour of event opening,  staggering about bumping in to others and tables, people taking drinks on to dance flow and being spilt, staff took a long time to clean up mess from spilt drinks on dance floor but still left the ice to melt away, security did not try to stop people from talking drinks on to dance floor, staff were excellent at keeping tables clean and tidy. Mc who was introducing acts did not turn up in any cowboy or country themed clothing, there were far to many breaks and gaps between artists come on and off and this let the atmosphere dry up, Dj was filling in with songs between artists but even at that we were left waiting far to long for artists to come out, smoke machine was on for most of the night and left the stage heavily covered in smoke and didn't get to see the artists clearly due to excessive use of smoke, on a plus if you wanted to learn to line dance then the Country Roses did a great job of showing how it's done

Unfortunately due to a bug was unable to attend yesterday, but will go on the next occasion

Absolutely great night last night, great music, had the best time, fantastic atmosphere. So glad I had booked that night, prices were expensive for the drink but expected that. Tick*ts were a great price, definitely worth the money.

We had a great night. Would have liked a bit more older music( George jones etc). Also thought merchandising tables at front of house would be good, t shirts etc.  overall, really enjoyed the night. Will be going again.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I bought the tick*ts but it turned out a brilliant night. The venue'The Livehouse' was perfect it was the first time we have been there since it opened but won't be the last, the staff were friendly and helpful and the prices are about the same as pub prices. The food bar was a brilliant addition as the 5pm start left the  quandary of whether to eat early or kebab on the way home... the Mac and cheese with pulled pork was awesome   
The Gig itself was incredibly professional and the tribute acts were perfect will definitely go again if it's up this way
