About

Manchester post-punk agitators Loose Articles headline a night of ferocious, forward-thinking punk.

Specialising in discordant, hypnotic repetition and sharp, sardonic storytelling, Loose Articles channel nights out, radical politics and tongue-in-cheek defiance into an in-your-face, danceable punk assault. Their sound balances raw punk energy with a dry, confrontational drawl that's equal parts threatening and fun.

The band have been heavily championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music, alongside support from Chris Hawkins, Tom Robinson and Amy Lamé, and have received further airplay from Radio X. They've featured on Spotify's The Punk List, been highlighted by NME, Under The Radar, and even appeared on BBC One's Football Focus.

Following the release of their debut EP Chaos in 2022 and the acclaimed single Sinead Loves Bitcoin, Loose Articles have built a reputation as one of the UK's most vital punk acts. Recent highlights include supporting Gang Of Four, New Order at SXSW, touring Europe with Thumpasaurus, and being handpicked by Dave Grohl to support Foo Fighters.

Expect sweat, noise, sharp politics and songs made for the dancefloor.

Support comes from BUGEYE

South London's fierce, female-led five-piece Bugeye join the bill in Derby this May, supporting Loose Articles.

Formed by childhood friends Angela Martin and Paula Snow on a Croydon council estate, Bugeye have become a driving force in the UK underground with their bold DIY ethos, blending gritty guitars, retro synths and sharp, socially conscious lyrics. Their explosive live shows and unapologetic attitude have earned praise across the board, with Clash Magazine calling them "a force to be reckoned with" and Record Collector describing their sound as "speaker-shaking disco pop with a snarling post-punk edge."

Championed by BBC 6 Music and fresh from award-winning releases, Bugeye bring their unique, high-energy presence to Derby for what promises to be an unforgettable night.
