Your House Or Mine presents Ralph Lawson

We are super excited to welcome RALPH LAWSON for a special headline set at Quarterhouse Folkestone, on Saturday April 27th.
Ralph has played a huge role in electronic music as a DJ / Producer, Founder of 20/20 Vision, original Resident DJ at the legendary Back to Basics and founder member of 2020Soundsystem.

We are also delighted to be welcoming ROB COCKERTON, who makes his YHOM debut. Rob is a highly respected DJ / Producer from Kent, with releases on Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records and Snatch Records.

We are taking over the main room and bar with 9 DJ’s for 6 hours of underground house and techno.

For this event we will be installing a RCF sound system, state of the art lighting and LED video screens.

Support on the night comes from YHOM resident DJ’s Ian Dunne, Justin Randall and Rob Warr, alongside guests Adam White, Rev and Twerk Douglas.

Doors 8pm - 2am. Last entry - midnight.

Ralph Lawson Biography:

Ralph Lawson has played a huge role in electronic music as a DJ/Producer, Founder of 20/20 Vision, original Resident DJ at the legendary Back to Basics and founder member of 2020Soundsystem. Through it all Lawson has stayed true to the original spirit of acid house and retained a love of cutting-edge underground music in a multi award career spanning over three decades.

Alongside Basics, Lawson maintained long standing DJ residencies at The Loft Barcelona, Space Ibiza and appeared regularly at fabric London since its inception. Building from residencies as a base Lawson went on to grace the decks of iconic clubs around the planet including The Hacienda, Sub Club, DC10, Warehouse Project, Watergate and Panorama Bar. Lawson is also no stranger to big festival stages with performances at Sonar, Glastonbury, Love International, Robot Heart, Burning Man, Electric Elephant, Hideout, Festival No.6, Lovebox, The Garden, Gottwood, Bluedot, Beatherder among many others.

Lawson has been behind many iconic productions over the years, often working in the studio alongside Carl Finlow, including their classic series of remixes for Blaze including ‘Lovelee Dae’ and the seminal ‘Raptures of the Deep’ both widely regarded as classic moments in house music. Lawson also collaborated with Detroit’s Chez Damier on several releases for Prescription Underground before co-founding 2020Soundsystem, a pioneering band that fused electronic beats with live musicians and produced the highly acclaimed albums ‘No Order’ and ‘Falling’ which garnered the club hits ‘Sliding Away’ ‘Ocean’ and ‘Psycho’.  

Lawson’s brought this production knowledge to play in recorded DJ Mix albums, mixing over ten albums including fabric33, Families present Batofar and Stars on 33. The ability to create consistently flawless mixes further carried into long running radio shows for KISS FM, Ibiza Sonica and OpenLab FM.

Never one to stand still Lawson enjoys pushing the boundaries and in 2020 started the Exit Planet Earth project as a series of records and radio shows exploring experimental directions in electro with a series of radio shows, films and live sets including performances for LAUT Barcelona and Houghton Festival. Exit Planet Earth culminated in a full-length debut album – ‘Launch’ released in 2023.

As we look towards the 30th anniversary of 20/20 Vision forthcoming in 2025 there are already exciting plans and projects underway to celebrate and cement the reputation of one of the most respected DJ and labels on the planet.
