About

Back in 2017 Balter Festival contacted the Wrong Music retirement village and asked the collective to reform. They soon came under fire whether the crew had burnt themselves out or were sane enough to perform again, the crew were told they had to undergo health checks and if they passed, they could perform.

Known for pushing the boundaries of experimental music and performance in clubs, this gave a platform to many fringe artists and musicians who are now respected figures in the scene. These artists and musicians rallied round the crew and supported them on their journey to reform, Flux Pavilion said, “It was like the scene out of ROCKY II where Rocky runs through the city and up the stairs, only the song was being played on a circuit bent Casio and sounded awful”. In 2018 the crew passed the health checks and reformed for Balter 2018, Bang Face weekender and night with GFOTY in London. Word was spreading fast, more nights were planned in Bristol and a takeover was booked for the Scrap Yard at Boomtown, sadly due to covid these were cancelled.

Since the world has started turning again, Wrong Music have secured an annual TV residency at Bang Face Weekender, teaming up with queer collective, DOOMSCROLL, a crew of theatre makers, drag performers, performance artists and DJs, including anarchic theatre makers, In Bed With My Brother and are ready to bring a new show to the mighty Lost Horizon Bristol on the 26th of August.
