David Holmes, has carved out a fearless path in music - from spinning in pub clubs at age 15 to scoring Hollywood soundtracks. In the 1990s, he ran legendary nights like Sugar Sweet and Shake Yer Brain, even inspiring Orbital's track "Belfast."
His debut This Film's Crap Let's Slash the Seats (1995) set the tone for his cinematic style, followed by Let's Get Killed (1997), which turned street recordings from New York into a vivid, funky album.
Holmes' Essential Mix was hailed as "Mix of the Year" by Muzik magazine.
Next month, he brings that boundary-pushing energy to the intimate WaterBear on Brighton seafront, under the arches. An intimate space, acoustic great, powered by an incredible sounding Funktion one sound system. This is a Day Job party from 4.30 pm to 10.30pm - Our friends electric.
David last appearance in Brighton was 18 months ago, and absolutely went off, so don’t miss this Rare appearance on Brighton Beach.
Runs from 4.30pm to 10.30pm - so plenty of time to get last trains home.
