About

We're back for a very special May Bank Holiday Special!

2 floors. A day-into-night session (4pm til 1am), and one of this country's finest DJ's topping the bill.

Jamz Supernova is a DJ, radio host, podcaster and musical tastemaker with a fascination for how people resonate with their heritage and identity, and the role music can play. With her own family roots in Jamaica, Cuba and Ireland, Jamz grew up in multicultural South East London, and the sheer variety of musical influences have been an important part of shaping her approach.

Her award-winning Saturday daytime show on BBC 6 Music has become a mainstay of UK music culture, unearthing exciting music scenes from around the world and focusing on how heritage helps shape people's music and identity. She was an early champion of the likes of Hak Baker, Ezra Collective and Greentea Peng and as a label head at Future Bounce she's always looking one step ahead.

Her DJ sets at places like We Out Here, All Points East and Worldwide Sete are always eclectic, with a mix of broken beat, UK funky, Bass, techno and beyond. We're excited to have her down in the Patterns 'rave cave' as our headliner.

Alongside that we've got Mr Bongo records upstairs throught the afternoon, plus Afrocat, fresh from the release of her "Lost Tracks: Accra to Addis" compilation. Plus Russell Ruckman (Soul Damn Funky/Upfront dance), Lily London, D-Novo, Mr Dan, Jazta, Deeds and Idris.

Expect a top sound system, a mixed crowd, great beer selections, pizza and of course "Brighton's friendliest dancefloor".
