THE SECRET COMEDY CLUB AT ARTISTA: BRIGHTON & HOVE'S PREMIER INTIMATE COMEDY VENUE

Welcome to Brighton & Hove's best small comedy club, winner of the Audience Choice Award for Best Fringe Venue, located at Artista. As the only comedy club in Brighton operating every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, we offer a safer and friendlier alternative to larger venues.

LINEUP

Joining our MC Dan Evans will be headliner Funmbi Omotayo, supported by comics Stephanie Laing and Andy Field.

Funmbi Omotayo is a force of nature, a natural comedian who oozes charisma that makes the audience instantly fall in love with him. A circuit headliner who boast a host of awards including Best Newcomer At The Black Comedy Awards, Winner of Amused Moose & Leicester Square Comedian Of The Year. His talents have seen him perform across the globe including Canada, Holland & Germany to name a few. Funmbi has provided tour support for John Bishop & Hal Crutteden, has popped up on ITV, BBC, Comedy Central & Channel 4 and to top it off has performed two shows at the Edinburgh Festival.

Stephanie Laing is best described as goofy and peculiar, and her comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable. Leicester Mercury Finalist.

Andy Field is the lead writer and star of his own BBC Radio 1 sketch series The Andy Field Experience, Andy has made an impact on the comedy scene with his silly style and refreshing approach to traditional stand up. A regular at festivals such as Latitude, Download, Bestival, Leefest, Secret Garden Party and Green Man, Andy is fast becoming a familiar face at top comedy clubs around the country. He is a BBC New Comedy Award Finalist, Chortle Student Comedy Award Winner, and Leicester Square New Comedian Finalist.

Dan Evans has been performing on the UK Comedy Circuit for the past 2 decades. He's also relayed his daft tales of babysitting, hair-loss and decrepitude in front of sweating ex-Pats in Dubai and Oman, and had his grammar corrected by audiences in The Netherlands and Germany. Dan has also written for others, among them Milton Jones, Mickey Flanaghan, Zoe Lyons and Frankie Boyle.

SCHEDULE

Doors open at 7pm, giving you plenty of time to grab some drinks before the shows start at 8pm. Don't forget, happy hour is from 7pm until 7:30pm. We end at 10:30pm and close at 11pm.

TICKETS

• Entry: £25 on the door
• Advance Tickets: Available online. If you prefer to buy tickets at the door, arrive early to avoid disappointment as spaces are very limited. Door tickets are only available if we are not sold out online or if there are no-shows.

POLICIES

• No refunds: for late arrivals or for those asked to leave due to heckling.
• Late Arrivals: We may resell tickets if you arrive late and have not informed us.
