The Music

Matt and Phred's Jazz Club regulars, The Nightcreatures duo are a vocal, guitar and piano version of New Orleans R&B band The Nightcreatures. They specialise in Swamp Funk,Voodoo Blues and Mardi Gras street beats. They play a varied mixture of classic New Orleans material, old time blues and rock/pop covers given the Nightcreatures treatment. 

In the true spirit of the city they bring together songs sourced from such diverse artists as Prince, Black Sabbath, ZZ Top ,The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Waits and Ian Drury, as well as from New Orleans greats like Allen Toussaint, Dr John, Professor Longhair, James Booker and many of the great NOLA R&B bands. Looking deeper into history,they have reworked songs that were originally recorded by classic bluesmen Blind Willie Johnson, Leadbelly, Screaming Jay Hawkins and Jelly Roll Morton.It’s a hot spicy gumbo of filthy blues, funky grooves and classic tunes.

They are truly magnificent, hugely talented and will guarantee a fantastic nights entertainment whilst you sit back and dine!
