Step into 1979 and get ready for a raw, real, and seriously powerful performance of Junkyard, brought to life by our SRC Performing Arts students.
Written by Jack Thorne - the mind behind Adolescence, This Is England, and His Dark Materials - Junkyard is a bold and heartfelt story of youth, struggle, and hope. Set against a backdrop of unrest and uncertainty it follows Fiz, a 13-year-old trying to survive a tough home life, and Rick, who thinks building a playground from scrap will be easy... yeah, not quite.
What starts as chaos turns into something way bigger - about friendship, fighting back, and creating something that actually matters. It's messy, emotional, full of hear and captures the spirit of a generation fighting to be heard.
Expect big energy, real emotion, and performances that will stick with you long after the lights go down. Don't miss your chance to see this incredible story brought to life on stage.
