HERSAY: Campaign Discussion and Placard Making Workshop

This creative workshop and discussion will be about the next steps in our collaborative campaign work between ROSA and Belfast Sapphics (along with the support and input of other groups) to try end the harmful practices of:

• Survivors counselling notes being admissable as evidence in judicial cases relating to gender violence
• Character references for defendants standing trial for Gender Violence / Abuse / Sexual Assault being admissable

Both of these practices serve to further silence, victim-blame and retraumatise victims and survivors. They reflect the misogyny and sexism engrained within the judicial system - they must go.
