The music and the people made this an awesome event.   The venue needs air conditioning - I’ll wear more appropriate clothing next time  and the outdoor seating area needs to be undercover.

Review of Back To The 80&#8217;s - Pop

The venue is small but pleasant and the staff are great but sadly, the DJ was awful.
Despite being an 80's night he played mostly 90's music, the odd 70's track and refused to take requests.
He played maybe 5 decent songs.   This was not the 80's party extravaganza we had hoped for.
We weren't the only ones unimpressed, lots of group came and went.  It was a huge disappointment and we left after 2 hours of total frustration. 
The manager made a point of asking why we were leaving and promised to have a better DJ at the next night and offered to waive the entry fee, so on that basis we will give them another chance.
It's a shame because not only did we dress up and make a real effort (my friend lives 15 miles away)  but these theme nights have the capacity to be huge money spinners if done correctly.
I'm not sure who I feel the most sorry for: us or the manager who was really nice.
