Skiddle's big fat festival guide: Europe edition - July

With a heatwave washing over Europe this July, there’s no better time to get stuck into the extensive array of festivals in Europe this month.

July is upon us and with that a record-bracing heatwave is enveloping Europe. This type of weather can only be quashed with one thing - a bucket load of festivals. We’ve managed to compile another big fat festival guide, this time for some cracking festivals scattered across the European mainland. 

So wipe the beads of sweat away, grab your bucket hats and keep your passport on hand. Featuring fests blasting techno, rock, indie, house, drum and bass, and the rest, there’s something for you here. Let’s dive in!

 

 

Fajtfest 2026

When: Thursday 2nd - Saturday 4th July  2026

Where: Velké Meziříčí, Czech Republic

Awakenings Festival

When: Friday 10th - Sunday 12th July 2026

Where: Hilvarenbeek, Netherlands

Big names: Amelie Lens, I Hate Models, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joseph Capriati, DJ Heartstring

Simply known as one of THE best festivals in Europe is Awakenings. This two-day techno festival is like no other, gathering a mass of like-minded people looking to dance well into the night. With loads of stages, and stage productions that'll keep you locked in, plus if that wasn't enough, each year their lineups have not just locals but people from all around the world booking that flight to get involved. And with camping on site, make sure you pack light, because this is going to be one heavy weekend. 

 


  

Open'er Festival

Known for being one of the best European festivals, Open'er is a haven for music fans seeking a diverse range of experiences. Since 2002, the festival has attracted festival goers who are looking to jam to a lineup filled with some of the best artists the music industry has to offer. 

 


 

NOS Alive Festival

G! Festival

If you're looking for something local that knows how to make some noise, then G! Festival might be the one for you. Located in the scenic village of Syðrugøta, Faroe Islands, G! Festival is a standout place for you to listen to some of the best metal, rock, pop, folk, techno and more. Lasting over three days, this is an event that brings the community together, founded on local support, and with an atmosphere to bring a unique experience like no other, you really can't go wrong.

CLOUT

When: Friday 10th - Saturday 11th July 2026

Where: Warsaw, Poland

Big names: Skepta, Wiz Khalifa, Swae Lee, Quavo, Don Toliver, Fakemink

Despite the negative connotations towards the word, CLOUT is one of the only rap festivals in Poland that highlights the rap scene from around the world. This medium-sized European festival is dedicated to bringing unique art direction and bringing together rap fans in one place to enjoy both well-known and up-and-coming artists.

Tisno's flagship DnB holiday returns to the Croatian shores for its 7th edition this July. Comprising a private beach and community-driven atmosphere, Hospitality On The Beach has evolved in spades since its 2018 premiere, and promises to be a momentous chapter as Hospital Records celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Boasting a setting to die for, Bilbao BBK sits on the slopes of Mount Cobetas, facing southeast of the Basque capital, and features a cast of artists sure to please even the pickiest of festival-goers. Containing 12 wonderfully-crafted stages occupied by heavy hitters blasting pop, indie rock and electronica, Bilbao BBK is a mid-sized festival that should be near the summit of everyone's bucket list.
