        about Arts of Wellbeing
A packed week devoted to current activity and new directions among arts and health practitioners and participants in Westminster. The health and well-being benefits of participation in the arts are widely acknowledged with recent attention paid to quantifying and extending the therapeutic role of arts activity as part of treatment. But attention is also turning to art as a means of mapping deeply personal aspects of some conditions often outside the scope of purely clinical interventions in order to develop understanding and enhance care; or even, just for arts sake, with the broader social advances that can bring. Reflecting these trends, Arts of Wellbeing offers a week of live events, talks and workshops across theatre, writing, dance, singing, printing and film in partnership with Westminster Arts and The Cockpit. The week also features a round table discussion concerned with how developments in the field can be taken forward.
