"I'm your god mummy" sings Katie Norris in a dingy bar in Manchester.

Would that she were I think as this impressive vocalist trills her way through yet another well observed critique of something or other, a cheeky smile on her self described "face of an angel."

This laugh-out-loud Edinburgh preview hour riffs on sex, dating and taxidermy squirrels as you've never seen them before. No seriously, the squirrel reveal will make you wet yourself.

With a hearty vibrato and the chutzpah to ask men in the audience their sperm count, Norris had the audience in the palm of her hand (of an angel).

We laughed out loud at anecdotes of her luvvie father being banned from all the road chefs in the A34 and her gen z housemates planning to be 35, married and rich. 

I've been a fan of Norris since Burn the Witch, the filthy, well-acted two hander set in the fictional Northern Town of Phallus Ridge, beset by sex witches. 

She's since gone solo and won a handful of awards, including the best show at the Leicester Comedy Awards 2025 and the Musical Comedy Awards 2023, which it's worth watching back on NextUp Comedy for the eye-watering song about dating a man-child techno DJ alone.

Manchester, THURSDAY 12 FEBRUARY2026: Following the success of the last two years, NOMAD and Creatures Comedy Club announce the third instalment of Creatures Comedy Festival.Taking place from23rd Julyto1st August 2026at Creatures Comedy Club, the festival will focus on creating a space outside of London for acts to preview before Edinburgh Fringe, giving Manchester residents exclusive access to shows before they hit the world&#8217;s biggest arts festival in August.
