Reviews of Friendly Fest
Friendly Fest 2019 will be headlined this summer by oneof the original superstar DJs and producers. Mauro Picotto is famous for tracks including Lizard, Komodo, Like This Like That and Iguana which all featured in the UK Top 40. The legendary Italian is also the man behind the long running Meganite club night, which had a lengthy residency in Ibiza and has toured all over the world.
Acclaimed tribute, Abba A Rival are also heading north to revive the classic ABBA songs on the 18th of May. The act features professional singers including LeonaMarie, who had chart hits with girl band Lemonescent. 90’s Indie and Brit Pop fans are also in for a treat with top tribute band Happy Mondaze confirmed to perform at the festival. Former Happy Mondays manager Phil Saxe described the band as “Excellent”, saying “This is as near to the ‘real deal’ as it gets.
The festival which will return to Kynoch Parkin Keith will host two stages of music on Saturday May 18, with ticket prices that offer great value. Organiser Russell Aitchison said “We are delighted to have secured such an eclectic bill of acts for this year’s festival. Mauro Picotto must be the biggest artists to ever play in Keith and following last year’s success we are delighted to be bringing two high end tribute acts to this year’s event. We still have some tremendous local acts to be announced too,so we expect Friendly Fest to sell out quickly.”
