Fontaines D.C. have announced their final UK 2025 headline outdoor show, taking place at the 10,000 - capacity Exhibition Park in Newcastle on Sunday, 13th July. Fontaines D.C. are on a roll, hot off the back of a critically acclaimed sold-out UK arena tour and having sold out London’s 45,000 capacity Finsbury Park (5 July) over 8 months up front, with their recently announced Cardiff Castle show (30 July) also already sold out.

Rolling Stone UK said, "A perfect early showing in an arena tour where Fontaines D.C. are hell bent on proving that these biggest of stages are where they truly belong”.

This newly announced Newcastle Exhibition Park show, alongside the already announced Manchester Wythenshawe Park date (15 August), will be fans only chance to buy a ticket for a headline show in 2025 in the UK. They will be joined on the night by special guests including Mercury Prize winners’ English teacher.

Their James Ford produced fourth album ROMANCE, released via XL Recordings on 23rd August, has received an incredible response from fans and critics alike selling more than twice as much as their acclaimed 2022 release Skinty Fia in its first week. ROMANCE garnered a host of five-star reviews from NME, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone UK. Songwriting legend Elton John has also praised the band, declaring them “the best band out there at the moment.” The 11-track masterpiece represents a bold evolution for Fontaines D.C. weaving together ideas developed by Grian Chatten (vocals), Carlos O’Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan (bass), and Tom Coll (drums) since Skinty Fia. With its innovative sound and captivating artistry, ROMANCE cements Fontaines D.C.'s status as “the defining band of their generation” (NME).
