Tech For Better Humans.

About

Our January Preston Tech Connection meet-up will explore the topic of Tech for Better Humans. How innovation is transforming everyday health.

From wearables to wonders, we're exploring where personal tech is really taking us.

Join us on 15th January for a down-to-earth look at the gadgets, apps, and smart ideas that are helping us look after our health in new ways. From everyday trackers to surprising breakthroughs, we'll chat about the tech that's making it easier to understand our bodies and feel our best.

We'll also touch on the privacy side of things - because with all this new data flying around, it's important to know who's collecting it, how it's being used, and what control we actually have. We'll unpack the basics so you can enjoy the benefits of health tech without feeling lost in the fine print.

Preston Tech Connection is all about curiosity and conversation - so whether you work in tech, love health hacks, or just want a peek at what's coming next, come along and get inspired.

Meet our panelist:

Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones offers a unique, three-pillar perspective on the future of health tech. With over 16 years of experience in the NHS (including Emergency Surgery and as a Training Officer), he is acutely aware of the protocols governing sensitive data. Daniel is also an experienced technical operator and entrepreneur, managing his own businesses Random Adventure. Through this, he provides professional AV and sound engineer services. A passionate cycling advocate, Daniel runs Random Adventure to promote talks with high-profile cyclists and is a certified British Cycling Event Organiser, giving him real-world insights into the utility and community-building power of modern wearable technology.

About Preston Tech Connection

Preston Tech Connection is a group centred around an interest in digital technologies - our events and meet-ups are a place where tech enthusiasts can come together, exchange ideas, work on projects, and support one another.

Preston Tech Connection is founded by Tom Crawley Neon Mountain and Catarina and Brendan King, Society1. We host monthly meet-ups.

Our events cover topics like software, programming, hardware and emerging tech. We have a shared interest in the latest advancements in the digital realm. We host events with a social and collaborative aspect, workshops, guest speaker events, and networking.

We are an inclusive group and open for anyone to attend. You don't need to work in tech. If you are interested in the topics or just want to come and be part of a friendly community of people exploring the digital and tech world, you are welcome.
