Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all guests attending The Pink Picnic, organised by Salford Pride, taking place in 2026. By purchasing or obtaining a ticket (free or paid) and entering the event site, you agree to comply with the rules and policies outlined below. These terms are subject to change without notice.

Ticketing & Entry Requirements

Tickets from £5.00 per person for attendees aged 16 and over.

Children under 16 can attend for free, but must still register for a free ticket via the event website. Entry will not be granted without a valid ticket.

Infants under 12 months do not require a ticket, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

All attendees must present a valid ticket (paper, email confirmation, or mobile barcode) at the gate to gain entry.

Tickets are required for every individual, including children, unless they are under 12 months old.

Entry is subject to site capacity. We recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment.

The entrance gate will close at 7:00 PM. After this time, no re-entry will be allowed if you leave the event site.

Accessibility

General Accessible Entry tickets are available for guests with disabilities who may need shorter queue times at the entrance. These tickets are available during booking and are subject to availability.

Guests who require additional support during the event (e.g., mobility or personal care needs) can apply for access to the Accessibility Area, which offers dedicated facilities and viewing area.

Each Accessibility Area ticket permits access for the individual, guests can apply for additional companion or carer tickets (maximum two people total).

Entry to the Accessibility Area is controlled by wristband and subject to availability at any given time. Only those wearing an official accessibility wristband will be permitted in this space.

Abuse or misuse of accessibility access will not be tolerated, and anyone found to be using these provisions dishonestly may be removed from the site.

Park Accessibility

The event takes place at Peel Park, which is wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible.

A wheelchair-accessible ramp is available near the University of Salford student residences in the north-west section of the park.

Paths throughout the park are generally level and well-surfaced, including footbridges and the riverside path.

Limited public parking for Blue Badge holders is available at:

Salford Museum and Art Gallery (M5 4WU)

Delaney Car Park (M5 4RB)

Both are pay-and-display car parks and cost from £2.50

Conduct & Behaviour

All guests are expected to behave respectfully towards fellow attendees, staff, volunteers, contractors, and performers.

Anyone displaying anti-social, aggressive, or offensive behaviour will be removed from the event site.

Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Any minors found unattended or behaving inappropriately will be asked to leave.

Salford Pride reserves the right to cancel, void, or revoke tickets and wristbands of individuals whose behaviour is deemed unacceptable before or during the event.

Any incidents of harassment, discrimination, or violence should be reported immediately to event security or a member of staff. Appropriate action will be taken.

Bag Checks & Security

Security checks will be carried out at the entrance to ensure the safety of all guests.

Bag searches are mandatory, and entry may be refused if you decline a search.

To help speed up entry times, we recommend bringing a clear bag where possible.

Bags larger than 50cm x 50cm will not be permitted inside the event.

Cooler bags within size limits are permitted (those on wheels will be permitted).

Shopping trolleys, suitcases, and large carts are not allowed.

Filming & Photography

The event may be filmed and photographed by Salford Pride and its partners for marketing and promotional purposes.

By entering the site, you grant permission for your image to be captured and used in future media without compensation.

If you would prefer not to be photographed, please inform the photographer or videographer on the day.

Prohibited Items & On-Site Rules

Items Not Permitted:

Glass bottles or containers (perfume or aftershave is permitted in 50ml bottles or less.

Sharp objects (e.g., knives, scissors)

Barbecues, fire pits, or open flames

Temporary structures, tents, plastic garden furniture (folding chairs and blankets are allowed)

Shopping trolleys, large carts, or hard-shell suitcases

Bicycles and scooters (excluding mobility scooters)

Confetti and confetti cannons

Gas canisters, petrol, or other flammable substances

Single-use plastics (see "Food & Drink" section below)

Illegal drugs (possession or use will result in immediate removal)

Smoking & Vaping

Smoking and vaping are not allowed under marquee areas. Failure to comply will result in you being asked to leave.

Alcohol & Beverages

Attendees aged 18+ may bring a small quantity of alcohol: up to 4 cans (440ml each) of alcoholic beverages per adult on first entry.

Alcohol must be easily visible on entry.

No re-entry with alcohol.

Only aluminium cans are permitted; no glass bottles.

Additional security measures may be in place to manage alcohol consumption.

Salford Pride reserves the right to confiscate alcohol and remove guests who are intoxicated or disruptive.

Food & Drink

Guests are allowed to bring their own food and soft drinks under the following conditions:

Food must be stored in reusable containers (e.g., Tupperware or lunchboxes).

Soft drinks/water must be in sealed cans or cardboard packaging - no plastic bottles or pouches.

EMPTY reusable bottles are allowed and can be filled at designated free water points throughout the site.

Reusable bottles containing liquids will need to be decanted at the gate.

Single-use plastic items are not permitted, including plastic bottles, crisp packets, and sweet wrappers.

Any liquids in single-use plastic will be confiscated or must be disposed of at entry.

Long-life food in single-use plastic may be donated to local food banks at the gate.

Perishable goods in single-use packaging will not be allowed in.

Ticket Resale, Refunds & Transfers

All tickets are non-refundable.

If you are no longer able to attend, you may resell your ticket using Skiddle's "Request Ticket Resale" feature.

Tickets resold outside of the official Skiddle platform are not endorsed by Salford Pride, and we accept no responsibility for third-party transactions.

If the event is cancelled or postponed, all tickets will automatically transfer to the rescheduled date or the following year.

Salford Pride reserves the right to refuse entry to any person or area within the event site without notice or refund.

Lost, Damaged, or Unavailable Tickets

It is your responsibility to ensure your ticket is safely stored and accessible on the day of the event.

Salford Pride is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged tickets, including:

Misplaced paper tickets

Technical issues with mobile devices (dead batteries, corrupted files, etc.)

Ensure your phone is charged and that you can access your ticket when arriving at the entrance.
