Biography

Emerging from the wreckage of another rudderless band, Tommy Crisis was determined to make 2012 his own. Armed with little more than a guitar, a bassist and a fistful of future anthems, during the winter of 2011 he found shelter from the elements inside Birmingham's Arkham Studio. With studio owner Alex Cooper (Hanging Doll) behind both recording desk and drums, they set about redefining the parameters of rock ‘n’ roll.

After 3 months of late nights, cold mornings and cheap wine, tommy stepped into 2012 with a finely-honed EP and the fire to propel The Blacklist Saints into the musical stratosphere. Recruiting long time wing man Ian Savage on bass, the hard hitting Matt Harper behind the traps and the awesome Luke Fury in the second guitar slot, the band stood poised to take their dirty grooves and sing along choruses to the masses.

Blending razor-sharp down tuned guitars, colossal hooks and brutal lyrical honesty, ‘The Blacklist Saints EP’ is an uncompromising sonic statement of intent.

Rehearsals started mid 2012 to get a set in place, and gigs commenced. From 2012 onwards they have travelled up and down the country, racking up miles and playing shows and selling the product they had created. They had interest from Ginger Wildheart and after hearing and seeing live footage, he asked them to play some support slots for him in 2012 whilst he had a solo tour in place in between his own support slots with Slash. The band have played alongside some of their peers and idols including Ginger Wildheart, Eureka Machines, InME, James Warner Prophecies, The Quireboys and Baby Godzilla to name just a few.

During mid 2013, Ian Savage parted ways with the band and they recruited a new bass player in the form of James Barrett. The live shows were again fined tuned and tightened.

The end of 2013 sees the boys spending time in the studio writing for the debut album which will be recorded in early 2014. If the demo’s and pre-production are anything to go by, this album is going to set the bar high for the band, something they strive to do not just in the studio, but where they want to be, on the stage.
