Biography

Rosie has established herself as a leading member of a Nu-Breed of artists, creating waves from her Manchester base in both her DJ and production guises. Honing her trade as a DJ at the legendary ‘Sankeys’ Rosie now plys her DJ trade throughout the UK and with increasing regularity taking her sound to the international marketplace; and playing in over 20 countries, India, Dubai, Ibiza, Italy, Russia, Egypt, Slovakia, Siberia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland and Majorca to name a few of the many. As we move further into 2010 we are set to witness the epic uprising of the Rosie Romero brand. Across her DJ performances, studio productions and combined aural/visual delight, Rosie Romero is fast becoming one of the scenes leading artists.

The natural progression from Rosie’s DJ success took her from the booth to the studio, receiving positive support from the likes of Dave Seaman, Nic Fancuilli, Jim Rivers, Richard Dinsdale, Kim Fai on Rosie’s Controlled Extrovert EP – Omnis Recordings. Praying Mosquito out on MUM Recordings was highly acclaimed, receiving supported and played on Carl Cox’s show.

Rosie’s passion for making music has been present from a young age. Her first love of classical composition saw her develop her piano playing skills, making Grade 6 by the time she hit high school. It was when Zoo Brazil asked Rosie to remix his track 'You Can Have It All' for Tiesto's label Magik Muzik that Rosie's producer status moved up a gear. Rosie stepped up to the challenge and delivered a stunning 'Orb Remix' which received acclaim even pre full release! Zoo Brazil was so impressed with the track he has requested Rosie remix a gem from his new album, 'Please Don't Panic', also on Magik Muzik.

Blackhole Recordings were so impressed with Rosie’s track GURU they signed it immediately. The release date is July 19th with strong remixes from Jorgensen. Rosie’s has made her debut as a vocalist, performing her own track 'GURU' at the legendary Pacha/Pukka Up event in London, in which she has produced and recorded the vocals in the track herself - showing yet another dimension as an excessively talented artist.

Lance Blaise owner of Teggno Records has also recognized the talents of the Romero sound and asked for a remix on his new album. Pretty Twisted ‘Deep Pete’

Hauswerks & Rosie Romero Collaborations are due to be released on the huge 303 Lovers label very soon. Two awesome tracks named 'Mambana' and 'Gankoji', which are receiving support by some of the scenes major players.

It has only benefited Rosie being a recording artist with leading labels Blackhole, 303 Lovers, Omnis Recordings, Manchester Underground Music and the heavily supported Mad Hatter Recordings has ensured a wider reach and audience for the new material. The success of the original tracks ensured a demand for remix requests with Zoo Brazil, Lance Blaise, Paul Thomas, Kevin Andrews (Hoxton Whores) & Sonny Wharton being the first artists to receive the Romero touch.

A natural born entertainer, Rosie’s sound can be described as Grooving Jackin' Techno, with elements of Progressive and Tech House infused enabling ‘The Romero Sound’ to encompass a new market, constantly gaining new fans and ensuring she is relevant to a plethora of UK’s main clubbing institutes including Air, Pacha, Pukka Up, Ministry of Sound, Honey Club, Area 51, In Bed With Space, Gatecrasher, Miss Moneypennys and Sankeys.

Rosie has been labelled as ‘one to watch’ by Tillate magazine and StreetMag (Norway) for 2010.

Her bi-weekly radio show on Manchester Global defines Rosie’s ability to project an upfront sound to a commercial audience, showcasing her ability to entertain a multiplicity of audiences. The show is franchised Worldwide with several different shows.

Internationally, Rosie is simply on fire. 2009 saw dates in Slovakia, Sardinia and Russia to name just a few. And already this year Rosie has visited India, Dubai, Bahrain and Poland. With an Asia tour confirmed for June where Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore are the hotspots so far booked in, as well as gigs in Japan, Manilla and Cebu planned for later in the year. The rest of 2010 will span out to be another world dominating year for Rosie Romero.
