Jonni started out DJing at 14 in his mum and dad's playroom above the garage, watching his brother & nagging him to let him have a go. From there his journey is a bit of an odd one, as far as the norm goes.
It took him to Sunderland where, whilst studying at university, he managed to secure himself the odd warm-up set at Chambers nightclub - a regular venue for some of the world's best trance and hard house DJ's (Judge Jules, Paul Van Dyk & Mauro Picotto to name a few).
After many years of the odd house party and bar gig the 1210's were packed away and, as other ambitions & goals took precedence, it seemed destined those Technics would spend the rest of their days like that.
However, thanks to an unexpected after party in January 2016, the 1210's got dusted off, prompting the start of a new journey and rekindling the flame that many thought had flickered from existence.
"I guess my early influences came in the form of commercial trance and hard-house - the likes of Dave Pearce, Fergie, Judge Jules were always being played at high volume in the car and at gigs - but in recent years (and certainly since I got back into DJing again) tech house and techno have completely taken over. That's not to say you might be lucky enough to hear 'Carte Blanche' or '1998' making their way onto the slipmats! There are some classics that are simply timeless, regardless of where I'm playing.
One thing that has changed & evolved over time is the music I play, but what always remains are the 1210's."
