Joe Bulley is a songwriter, producer and composer originally from London. Now based in Folkestone, Kent, he works from his home studio, blending alternative rock, indie and electronica into a sound that’s sharp, cinematic and unmistakably his own.
Following a string of eclectic singles throughout 2024, Joe released It’s In the Bag on 20th June 2025—a bold new track that signals the direction of his upcoming debut EP, set for release later this summer.
Drawing influence from Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Fat Dog, Mac DeMarco and Tom Waits, Joe crafts introspective, darkly humorous and occasionally surreal songs driven by energy, experimentation and strong melodic instinct. No stranger to Compass Festival, he performed at the debut edition at Quarterhouse in 2024 and returned for a semi-acoustic set at the 2025 festival warmup. With a growing body of work and a distinctive creative voice, Joe Bulley is one to watch from the Kent coast.
FFO: Queens of the stone age, Fat Dog, Arcade Fire.
