Acknowledged as one of the pioneers of the UK's jazz dance scene, Shaun Williams has always flown under the mainstream radar but has a special place in Birmingham's musical heritage. He and his Monday night sessions at The Rum Runner nightclub became a staple of the UK's underground jazz dance movement. Playing the latest in jazz-fusion, funk and soul imports, he developed a reputation as an uncompromising selector with a dynamic following. A rated "scratcher", he went on to release early electro classic "Warrior Groove" as DSM.
