Dissenter is an alternative ukulele-rock artist from Scotland. Her original music is captivatingly passionate, creating an edge to her style that sets her apart from the rest. She is an honest poet, singing about real life experiences and basking in the good, the bad, and the ugliest parts of being a human.

With a fiery passion for self expression, Dissenter successfully pieced together her first experimental album in 2016, and went on to do weekly covers on her Youtube channel in 2017, using the ukulele as her main instrument. She brought popular 70s/80s songs to life in a new light - setting her apart from the crowd. Continuing to write original music, dissenter went on to independently release 2 more albums and an ep on all major streaming platforms in the space of 3 years. Legion Management approached her in 2019 and Dissenter has been signed with them since. This has presented her with amazing opportunities such as playing the Glasgow O2 Academy in 2019 and recording her first studio single ‘Vivid Dreaming’.

Dissenter continues to upload weekly covers of alternative and old school songs, and delivers fortnightly poems on her youtube channel. The kooky artist remains active on social media too, and is no stranger to the local music scene in Glasgow, attending regular open mic nights and performing at venues like King Tuts, Ivory Blacks and Jimmy’s.
