Biography

Depeche Choad:

Girth Rock/Post-trivial/Factcore band from Aberdeen, Scotland/Spearfish, South Dakota. Formed in 2013 by Stewart (vocals/keys), Dream Magic (guitar), Cameron (bass) and Duncan(vocals/drums). Depeche Choad’s musical influence ranges from Punk to Italio Disco, Pop Rock to Bosnian Folk Music & everything in-between - making it difficult to pigeon hole them into one specific genre.

FFO: Butthole Surfers, Why?, Husker Du & Dan Deacon.

DC pride themselves on energetic, fun performances with raw unadultarated passion and an element of crowd participation. They have headlined local shows, wowing audiences and in recent times supported Bad Breeding, Peaness, Loud Poets and The Buzzcocks during their 40th anniversary tour.

Discography: Return to Girth (EP 2015), Pain After Sex (EP cassette only 2016) split EP; "Greetings from Ashley Park, ABZ" with Bird Law (2016). Debut full length album; "Songs in the Key of Vitamin C" will be released later this year.

We have been featured by Jim Gellaghty and Chris TT on their radio shows, as well as various podcasts.

"Depeche Choad are highly entertaining and vastly enjoyable." - Ravechild.co.uk

"They really are all crazy, but somehow absolutely brilliant at the same time." - Song by Toad Records

"This band made a real determined effort to push boundaries and make gig going a pure joy." - Wepluggoodmusic.com
